Afghanistan have announced their squad for the first bilateral ODI series against South Africa, with the return of veteran all-rounder Rashid Khan.
According to the details, Ibrahim Zadran and Mujeebur Rehman are still unavailable due to injury, while Darwish Rasooli and Abdul Malik are also among the selected players along with new player Bilal Sami.
17-member squad Hashmatullah Shahidi (captain) Rahmat Shah, Rahmanullah Garbaz, Ikram Ali Khel, Abdul Malik, Riaz Hasan, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Umarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbuddin Naib, Rashid Khan, Nangyaliya Kharote, AM Ghazanfar, Fazal Haq. It consists of Farooqui, Bilal Sami, Naveed Zadran and Fareed Ahmed.
The three-match series in the UAE will begin on September 18, with all three matches scheduled in Sharjah.
