Batter Babar Azam has resigned from the national team’s captaincy.
In a message released on social media, Babar Azam wrote that he has decided to resign from the captaincy of the Pakistani team, as he wants to focus on his performance as a player.
He said that captaining the team was a good experience, but the workload increased.
Babar Azam further wrote that I am proud to captain the national team.
Babar Azam was the captain of the ODI and T20 teams, while Shaun Masood is leading the Test team.
It may be remembered that the former legendary batter of the national team, Zaheer Abbas, had demanded to drop Babar Azam from the team due to bad form.
