Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) top officials have contacted the Pakistani authorities to secure the team.
The Bengal Tigers team is scheduled to visit Pakistan on August 17 for a 2-Test series as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The first match of this series will be held in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, while the second match is scheduled in Karachi from August 30 to September 3.
Bangladesh Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Younis, while talking to the media, said that it is Pakistan’s job to provide security for the team. However, Pakistani authorities have given assurances in this regard.
He said that during the Asia Cup, you must have seen that security was provided to the Bangladeshi team; the tour was confirmed on the assurance of security provision.
Jalal Younis added that we are in touch with the Pakistani authorities regarding security.
