England’s Test team captain Ben Stokes’ house was burgled while he was in Pakistan for a Test series.
The burglary occurred on October 17, 2024. In a social media post on X, Ben Stokes stated that on the evening of October 17, a few masked individuals broke into his house and stole jewellery, valuable items, and several personal belongings. Thankfully, the family did not suffer any physical harm.
Ben Stokes mentioned that some of the items had significant emotional value to him and his family. His appeal is to help find these individuals. The crime occurred while his wife and two young children were at home. Thankfully, they were not physically harmed, but the incident has had a mental impact on them.
Ben Stokes shared details and pictures of the stolen items on his X account. These included the OBE award given in 2019, a Christian Dior handbag, an England cricket signet gold ring, and some bracelets.
He expressed that the purpose of sharing these details is solely to catch the culprits.
He urged anyone with information to contact Durham Constabulary and thanked the police for their exceptional support to his family while he was in Pakistan. The police are still working hard to find the perpetrators.
