Former Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik refused to return to the national team.
According to details, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik has officially announced that he has no interest in returning to play international cricket for Pakistan.
In a recent interview with Cricket Pakistan, Shoaib Malik, who has already retired from two formats, confirmed that his international cricket days are over.
Shoaib Malik said no. I am happy and satisfied after playing for so many years, and I have no interest in playing for Pakistan again.
“I have already announced my retirement from two formats,” he added. I am playing league cricket and enjoying my time. Wherever I can play, I make the most of it.
When asked about his retirement from T20 International cricket, the former captain hinted that he would eventually retire from all forms of cricket. “I have no interest, but as I have said in my previous interviews, I will announce my retirement from all forms of cricket once and for all,” he said.
The 42-year-old has represented Pakistan in 124 T20 Internationals, scoring 2,435 runs at an average of 31.21 and a strike rate of 125.64, including nine fifties. He has also taken 28 wickets in the shorter format.
In domestic T20 cricket, Shoaib Malik has scored 13,360 runs in 542 matches, including 83 fifties. He is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the format after Chris Gayle, who has scored 14,562 runs in 463 games.
