The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 schedule has been officially announced, with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia set to jointly host the 14-team tournament from October 2 to November 21, 2027.
The 14th edition of the ODI World Cup will feature 57 matches across 12 venues. The tournament will begin with a three-team Super Series in Windhoek, Namibia, before the main Group Stage gets underway on October 7.
The tournament will also feature a blockbuster India vs Pakistan clash at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on October 10, while defending champions Australia will begin their Group Stage campaign against 2023 runners-up India in Cape Town on October 7.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2027 Format
The tournament will feature 14 teams and three stages before the semi-finals.
The competition begins with a three-team Super Series involving the second-, third- and fourth-placed teams from the 2027 World Cup Qualifier. The winner will advance to the Group Stage.
The remaining 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six. Each team will play every other team in its group once. The top three teams from each group, along with the better-performing fourth-placed team, will advance to the Super 7 stage.
The seven Super 7 teams will then play a single round-robin, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals. No points will be carried over from the Group Stage.
