Bangladesh’s veteran all-rounder Mahmudullah has officially retired from international cricket, announcing his decision on social media on Wednesday (March 12). The 39-year-old, who had earlier informed the board not to consider him for a central contract beyond February 2025, expressed gratitude to his teammates, coaches, and family for their support throughout his career.
Mahmudullah, the only Bangladesh player with three centuries in ODI World Cups, played 239 ODIs, 50 Tests, and 141 T20Is. His retirement follows that of Mushfiqur Rahim from ODIs, marking the end of an era for Bangladesh cricket.
