New Zealand opener Martin Guptill has announced his retirement from international cricket. According to New Zealand Cricket, Guptill represented the country in 47 Test matches.
New Zealand Cricket CEO Scott Weenink praised Guptill as one of the best batters in the shorter formats of the game. New Zealand captain Tom Latham described Guptill as a match-winning player.
Guptill has had an impressive career, playing 47 Tests, 198 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 122 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for New Zealand. He scored 2,586 runs in Tests, 7,346 runs in ODIs, and 3,531 runs in T20Is.
