The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national squads for the upcoming home white-ball assignments against Sri Lanka and the ODI tri-series involving England and Sri Lanka.
Sahibzada Farhan has been appointed captain for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, while Shaheen Afridi will continue to lead Pakistan in the ODI format.
Farhan, who recently captained Pakistan at the Asian Games, will lead a 15-member T20I squad for the series, which will be played entirely at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The first T20I will take place on October 9, followed by the second and third matches on October 11 and 13 respectively.
Pakistan’s T20I squad includes several of the players who featured in the Asian Games, with Abdul Samad, Hasan Nawaz, Maaz Sadaqat, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Moqim among those selected.
Fakhar Zaman also returns to the T20I squad, while Khawaja Nafay has been named as a wicketkeeper.

Following the T20I series, Pakistan will host England and Sri Lanka in an ODI tri-series.
Shaheen Afridi will captain the 15-member ODI squad, which includes experienced players such as Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Salman Ali Agha.
The ODI squad also features wicketkeepers Muhammad Ghazi Ghori and Saad Baig, while Hasan Nawaz, Razaullah and Arafat Minhas are among the younger players included.
The tri-series will begin in Rawalpindi on October 18, with Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka. Pakistan will then face England on October 20 before Sri Lanka and England meet on October 22.
The tournament will then move to Lahore, where the remaining league matches will be played before the final at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.
