The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi hinted at major changes in the team after the defeat by India in the crucial match of T20 World Cup 2024.
“Initially, I believed a minor surgery would be enough, but after this poor performance, it became clear that a major overhaul was needed,” he said. The nation will soon see several major changes in the team. Mohsin Naqvi added, “The defeat by India was disappointing in every aspect.”
Speaking to the journalists after the match in New York, Mohsin Naqvi said, “In the beginning, I thought that the cricket team would be fine with a minor surgery, but after the very poor performance against India, I am convinced that major surgery is needed in the team.”
He said, “Pakistani cricket is currently at its lowest level of performance. Our biggest challenge is to improve team performance.”
Mohsin Naqvi hinted that the nation will soon see a major surgery in the national cricket team, we have to prepare the team for the Champions Trophy and it is time to give a chance to the new talent sitting outside.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi further said, “The Pakistani cricket team has to be made the best team in the world, I know very well what was going on in the team and the reasons for the loss.”
According to the PCB chief, the nation does not expect such a disappointing performance from the cricket team, we have to show better performance.
