Pakistan’s female umpire, Saleema Imtiaz, has been nominated to ICC’s International Panel of Development Umpires.
Saleema Amitaz is the first Pakistani woman to receive this honour. After this nomination, she will be able to umpire in bilateral international series and ICC women’s events.
After being nominated in the ICC International Panel of Development Umpires, Saleema Imtiaz will officiate the T20 home series against South Africa Women.
Saleema Imtiaz, 52, started her umpiring career in 2008. She is the mother of international women’s cricketer Kainat Imtiaz.
Saleema Imtiaz says this is a happy occasion for me and the entire nation; this nomination will also encourage other women.
It should be noted that PCB has announced the names of the match officials for the series against South Africa and this season.
