According to reports, Mathisha Pathirana suffered a shoulder injury, and Dilshan Madhushanka sustained a hamstring injury, which means they cannot play the ODIs against India. Dushmantha Chimera and Nuwan Thishara were earlier ruled out of the T20 series.
Right-arm seamers Mohammad Shiraz and Ishan Malinga have been included in the squad on behalf of management, as confirmed by the team manager, Mahinda Halangoda.
