Pakistan cricket team’s selectors Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq have been dismissed from the post due to the national team’s poor performance in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup.
According to the sources, the two former cricketers will not be involved in future selection matters. Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq will continue as selectors for now.
New selectors will replace Abdul Razzaq and Wahab Riaz. This decision was taken after former cricketers criticized the team selection.
Wahab Riaz, the senior manager of the national team, is also likely to be removed from this position. In his place, a senior cricketer or bureaucrat can now be made the national team’s new manager.
A board official has confirmed that Razzak and Wahab will no longer take over the selection duties. The selection committee’s reorganization in the coming days may result in some important changes in the team administration.
