The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Saturday that Zimbabwe will visit Bangladesh on April 15 for a two-match Test series. This marks Zimbabwe’s first Test tour to Bangladesh in five years, with their last appearance in February 2020, where they suffered a heavy defeat by an innings and 106 runs.
The series opener will be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on April 20, while the second and final Test will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram from April 28.
Notably, Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium will not host a Test in this series. A BCB official stated that ongoing Dhaka Premier League matches at SBNS influenced the decision, as playing outside Dhaka ensures better-prepared wickets.
