Australia has officially announced its squad for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against South Africa, set to be played next month at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in England.
Key fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, along with all-rounder Cameron Green, have returned to the national Test side after recovering from their respective setbacks. Cummins and Hazlewood were sidelined due to injuries during the recent Test series against Sri Lanka, while Green has been out of action for nearly a year following back surgery.
Joining them in the squad are experienced names such as Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, and Steve Smith, alongside rising talents like Scott Boland and Matt Kuhnemann. The full squad also includes Sam Constance, Beau Webster, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Travis Head, and Josh Inglis.
The WTC final between Australia and South Africa is expected to be a high-stakes encounter as both teams aim to clinch the prestigious Test championship title. The match will be held at Lord’s, widely regarded as the “Home of Cricket,” adding to the significance of the contest.
