West Indies have suffered a major blow in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, with key batsman Brandon King out of the event.
According to West Indies Cricket, Brandon King cannot play further in the tournament due to a side strain.
Brandon King was retired hurt in the match against England in the Super 8 stage on June 19. Left-handed batsman Kyle Myers has been included in the West Indian squad for the T20 World Cup.
The ICC Event Technical Committee has cleared the squad changes. Kyle Myers will join the West Indies squad on Saturday.
It should be noted that the West Indian team has yet to play their remaining two matches in the Super 8 stage.
