The captain of the Pakistan cricket team has been changed before the Women’s T20 World Cup; Fatima Sana will lead the national team in the event.
According to details, Fatima Sana has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, the global event will be held in the United Arab Emirates from October 3 to 20.
10 players from the last T20 World Cup are included in the current squad; Nida Dar is included in the team as a player, while Sadia Iqbal’s inclusion is subject to fitness.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shifted the Women’s T20 World Cup from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
ICC says that the event has been moved due to the political situation in Bangladesh, and the rights to host the event will remain with Bangladesh; the event was not possible in Bangladesh due to the travel advisories of some countries.
It should be noted that the mega event will be played in Dubai and Sharjah from October 3 to 20. India, Australia, England and New Zealand had issued travel advisories due to the recent events.
