The head coach of the Pakistan White Ball team, Gary Kirsten, has resigned. The news of differences between PCB and Gary Kirsten came out yesterday; after the differences with PCB, Gary Kirsten decided to resign.
National white-ball team coach Gary Kirsten’s arbitrariness has led to differences with PCB officials and Kirsten’s insistence on the inclusion of his favourites in the national selection categories of central contracts and sports staff.
Gary Kirsten has also refused to be present in Pakistan as per his contract; he asked to join the Pakistan team camp one week before any series or tour even though, according to the contract, he was allowed one month’s vacation in a year and eleven months was to supervision the national team.
Earlier, Gary Kirsten had refused to be present during or outside the Champions Cup.
He asked for an explanation of David Reid’s contract and threatened not to go to Australia if not given, while PCB is willing to implement 100% of the contract with Gary Kirsten. The PCB, sticking to its position, has decided not to give in to Gary Kirsten’s threats, and the officials are adamant that Gary Kirsten should take the decision.
