The lineup for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is now complete, with all 20 teams confirmed for the tournament that will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) claimed the final spot after defeating Japan by eight wickets in the Asia-East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifier.
Haider Ali starred with three wickets for 20 runs as Japan were restricted to 117. Openers Muhammad Waseem and Alishan Sharafu then chased down the target with ease, securing UAE’s qualification.
With this win, UAE joined Nepal and Oman as the three teams from the Asia-EAP region to make it to next year’s event.
The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams, divided into four groups of five. The top two sides from each group will advance to the Super 8s, followed by the semi-finals and final.
