The first day’s game between Pakistan and England in the Multan Test ended; Pakistan scored 328 runs for the loss of 4 wickets thanks to the brilliant centuries of Shaan Masood and Abdullah Shafiq.
In the match being played at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Shan Masood, the captain of the national team, won the toss and decided to bat first.
On behalf of Pakistan, Abdullah Shafiq and Saeem Ayub opened the innings, but Saeem Ayub returned to the pavilion after scoring only four runs for a total of 8.
After the early dismissal of Saeem Ayub, Abdullah Shafiq and Shaan Masood led the team’s score with responsible batting. Shaan Masood completed his century with the help of 2 sixes and 10 fours.
On the other hand, Abdullah Shafiq also scored a century and then got out for 102 runs; the partnership between the two was 253 runs.
After the dismissal of Abdullah Shafiq, captain Shan Masood was also caught out after scoring 151 runs with only two runs added.
Shortly before the end of play on the first day, Babar Azam also returned to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs; Saud Shakeel 35 and Naseem Shah was at the crease without scoring a run.
