A case of murder has been registered in the capital, Dhaka, against Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib-ul-Hasan, who participated in the Rawalpindi Test match.
According to media reports, the Awami League leader and all-rounder has been charged with the murder of a garment factory worker in Dhaka.
Apart from Shakib-ul-Hasan, 154 people, including former Prime Minister and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina Wajid and actor Firdous Ahmed, have been named in this case.
The case was filed by Rafiqul Islam, the father of Rubel, who was killed as a result of firing at the protest rally. According to the report, on August 5, Rubel participated in a protest march on Ring Road, which was fired upon, and Rubel lost his life.
