Pakistan’s men’s and women’s teams have a packed schedule over the next year, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) finalised international and domestic commitments for both senior and junior squads.
The Pakistan men’s team will play three ODIs against South Africa at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from September 16 to 22. This series will serve as preparation for the 2025 ODI World Cup, where Pakistan will play all their group-stage and potential knockout matches in Sri Lanka.
Apart from this, the only other international assignment in 2025 for the men’s team will be a three-match T20I series in Dublin, Ireland, in early August.
As part of their preparation for the 2026 T20 World Cup in England, Pakistan will travel to South Africa in February-March to play three ODIs and three T20Is. Following that, they will host Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three T20Is in April-May. Initially, five T20Is were scheduled in the Future Tours Programme, but the number has now been reduced to three.
In May-June 2026, Pakistan will tour Ireland for a triangular T20I series that also includes West Indies, before heading to England for the World Cup.
On the women’s side, the PCB has announced that the Under-19 team will participate in a national T20 tournament in Karachi from September 15 to October 6. The top performers will be invited to a three-week skills development camp. These initiatives will serve as preparation for their tour of Bangladesh in December, where they are scheduled to play a five-match T20 series.
In senior women’s cricket, the PCB is in talks with various departments to introduce a departmental tournament, aimed at creating more playing opportunities. If approved, the event will be part of the domestic calendar alongside the women’s one-day tournament, set to be held in Karachi from November 6 to 24. International players are expected to participate, and the tournament will feature 15 matches played on a double-league format.
The women’s T20 tournament will also be played in Karachi from March 24 to April 17, 2026. An inter-university tournament is scheduled for October 2025, but its schedule and venues are yet to be confirmed.
