Pakistan Shaheens lifted the Asia Cup Rising Stars title in Doha on Sunday after a nerve wracking finish against Bangladesh A that went down to a super over at West End Park International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan posted 126 runs in their 20 overs after Saad Masood played a steady knock of 38 and Arafat Minhas added a valuable 25. Bangladesh kept the chase alive through Rakibul Hasan’s 24 and Habibur Rahman Sohan’s 26. The match came down to the final moments as Bangladesh reached 125 for nine, leaving the scores level.
Ahmed Daniyal grabbed control of the super over with two crucial wickets while conceding only six runs. Pakistan needed just seven to win and Masood, along with Maaz Sadaqat, chased down eight without any trouble to seal the title for the Shaheens.
The contest took place in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 and 2026 season. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first, but Pakistan finished the day with the trophy after a composed display in the decider.
