The Pakistan squad for the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup has been announced, which will be led by Komal Khan.
The National Selection Committee for Women has announced a 15-member squad for the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025, the 16-team tournament to be played in Malaysia from January 18 to February 2, 2025.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Komal Khan will lead the team, while Zofshan Ayaz will be the vice-captain
The Pakistani team will participate in a training camp at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center in Karachi from December 31 to January 9 and then leave Karachi for Malaysia via Dubai on January 10.
According to the format of the tournament, there are 4 groups, each group contains four teams. Pakistan has been placed in Group B with England, Ireland and the United States.
The Pakistani team will play their first match against the United States on January 18, followed by a match against England on January 20, while Pakistan’s final group match will be against Ireland on January 22.
The top two teams from the two groups in the Super 6 stage will qualify for the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held on January 31, while the tournament final will be played in Kuala Lumpur on February 2.
