The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a legal notice to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for violating his Pakistan Super League (PSL) contract.
According to an official PCB statement, the legal notice was sent to Bosch through his agent after he failed to honor the terms of his PSL contract.
The Peshawar Zalmi franchise had picked Corbin Bosch in the Diamond category during the PSL player draft. However, despite being under contract with the PSL, the cricketer chose to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) instead.
PCB’s Strict Stance on Contract Breach
The PCB management has highlighted the potential consequences of Bosch’s withdrawal from the league, emphasizing the impact of such actions on franchise cricket contracts.
The controversy erupted after IPL franchise Mumbai Indians signed Bosch as a replacement for the injured Lizaad Williams, leading to his withdrawal from PSL commitments.
This situation has raised concerns over contract enforcement in global franchise cricket, and the PCB’s legal action signals a firm stance against contract violations, ensuring that players uphold their commitments.
