Coaches with experience in Asian conditions have been hired for the New Zealand cricket team.
According to New Zealand Cricket, former Sri Lankan spinner Rangana Herath has been appointed spin bowling coach for 3 Test matches in Asia.
New Zealand Cricket says that Rangana has replaced Pakistan’s Saqlain Mushtaq. Saqlain Mushtaq resigned to take up a position with the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Cricket New Zealand further informed us that former India batting coach Vikram Rathore had been included among the coaching staff for the test match against Afghanistan.
The only Test between New Zealand and Afghanistan will be played in Noida, India, from Monday. Meanwhile, New Zealand is scheduled to play a two-test series in Sri Lanka, the first of which will be played in Galle on September 18.
