Pakistani opening batsman Saim Ayub has been nominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award.
Nominations for various categories for the ICC Awards 2024 have begun.
Left-handed Pakistani Saim Ayub has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year.
Pakistani opener Saim Ayub has scored 515 runs in 9 ODIs in 2024.
England fast bowler Gus Atkinson, Sri Lankan Kamindu Mendis and West Indies’ Shimron Joseph have also been nominated for the award.
The names of the award recipients will be announced in late January.
Gus Atkinson has taken 52 wickets in 11 matches. Kamindu Mendis has scored 1451 runs in 32 matches. Shammar Joseph has taken 29 wickets in 8 Test matches.
The nominations for the ICC Women’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year have also been announced.
South Africa’s Anerie Dirksen and Scotland’s Saskia Harley have been nominated.
India’s Shreyanika Patel and Ireland’s Freya Sargent have also been nominated for the award.
