The proposed schedule for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2025 to be held in Pakistan has come to light. A budget of around 70 million dollars was approved for the Champions Trophy.
According to the sources, the ICC has sent the Champions Trophy schedule to all the boards and shared it with the broadcasters. As expected, all the India matches are scheduled in Lahore, while the Pakistan-India clash is scheduled for March 1.
After consulting all the boards, the ICC will finalize the proposals. If they are approved, the opening ceremony will be held in Karachi, and the closing ceremony will be held in Lahore. The sports period of Champions Trophy warm-up matches is scheduled from February 12 to 18.
Group A includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
The event will kick off between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi. The semi-finals will be held in Karachi on March 5 and Rawalpindi on March 6, while the final will be held in Lahore on March 9 and on March 10. =
On the other hand, before the Champions Trophy, Pakistan will also host a tri-series involving New Zealand, South Africa, and Pakistan. The series will be held from February 8 to February 14, and all the matches will be played in Multan.
