USA offspinner B Akhilesh Reddy has been banned from all forms of cricket for eight years after being found guilty of breaching three provisions of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.
The charges stem from the 2025-26 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, where Reddy represented the Aspin Stallions and played two matches.
Reddy was provisionally suspended in November 2025 before being formally charged under three articles of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.
He was found guilty of attempting to fix or improperly influence the outcome or conduct of matches during the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament. He was also convicted of attempting to persuade or facilitate another participant to engage in match-fixing activities. In addition, the tribunal found him guilty of obstructing the investigation by deleting data and messages from a mobile device that could have been relevant to the inquiry.
The Emirates Cricket Board had appointed the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official for the tournament. Following an investigation, the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Tribunal found Reddy guilty on all three charges.
The eight-year suspension has been backdated to November 21, 2025, the date on which his provisional suspension came into effect.
Reddy, 26, made his international debut for the United States in April 2025. He has represented the USA in four Twenty20 Internationals, which remain his only international appearances.
The lengthy ban effectively sidelines the offspinner from all cricketing activities until the completion of his suspension period.
