Cricket Australia has announced that Pat Cummins will be the captain of the squad for the ODI series against Pakistan.
Pakistan’s national team will tour Australia next month, and three ODI series will be held between the two teams.
The Australian team squad includes Shane Abbott, Cooper Connolly, Aaron Hardy, Josh Hazlewood, Jack Fraser McGurk, Josh Ingles, Marnus LaBouchen and Glenn Maxwell in the Kangaroos team.
Matthew Short, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoins and Adam Zampa are also part of the squad.
Cricket Australia will announce the team for the three T20 matches against Pakistan later.
Cricket Australia says Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head are on parental leave and have, therefore, not been included in the squad.
Chief selector George Bailey has tried to balance the squad, with this being the last ODI series before the Champions Trophy.
He said that he is providing an opportunity to increase the experience of his squad for the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in February.
It should be noted that ODI matches between Pakistan and Australia will be played on November 4, 8 and 10.
