The match date between Pakistan and India teams for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2025 has been revealed. Due to security reasons, all the Indian team’s matches have been held at the same venue. The BCCI will finalize its position on the tournament after consultation with the Indian government.
The Indian media shared the report, referring to the ICC Board, and said the primary battle between the traditional rivals will be played in Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 1.
Reports say that all India matches are held at the same venue for security reasons.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared the schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 with all the teams participating in the event, including the ICC, but the Indian Cricket Board’s approval is yet to come. BCCI is in consultation with the Indian government. Later, he will finalize his position about the tournament.
The ICC board member says that PCB had submitted a draft of the ICC Champions Trophy consisting of 15 matches. Seven matches will be held in Lahore, three matches are scheduled in Karachi, and five matches are scheduled in Rawalpindi.
In the proposed schedule, Group A includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and New Zealand, while Group B includes England, South Africa, Australia and Afghanistan.
On the other hand, all the member countries have confirmed their presence for the ICC Champions Trophy, and the BCCI will decide after consulting the government.
It should be noted that according to Indian media, the proposed dates of the Champions Trophy were from February 19 to March 9, while March 10 has been designated as the reserve day for the event’s final.
