The squad for Pakistan’s tours of Australia and Zimbabwe has been announced.
For the Australia tour, former national team captain Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are included in the squad, but they will be rested for the Zimbabwe tour. As part of their strategy to defend the ICC Champions Trophy, selectors have also included domestic cricket performers in both tours’ squads.
Domestic cricket performers have been given more importance for the Zimbabwe tour. The Pakistan team will play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals in Australia. Similarly, they will also play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 Internationals during the Zimbabwe tour.
It is noteworthy that Mohammad Rizwan will be available for all matches in Australia and the ODIs in Zimbabwe.
