The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided that there will be surgery in the team, and it has been decided to take strict action against the grouping players. Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie included in the selection committee, chairman PCB says grouping players will not be tolerated.
According to the details, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi took major decisions for the improvement of national cricket and team performance.
The details of the meeting at the National Cricket Academy have come out; Mohsin Naqvi says that Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie have been included in the selection committee, along with former Test cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Asad Shafiq, and the team captain will also be a part of the selection committee.
Every player will be required to undergo a fitness test every three months. The players must play domestic cricket; the selection committee will decide the method of playing domestic cricket.
He said that there will be a zero tolerance policy against any player who violates discipline. There should be unity and consensus within the team. Grouping players will not be tolerated. Management should take strict action on grouping.
Mohsin Naqvi said that there will be no place in the team for players who do not follow discipline. Do not even accept my recommendation regarding any player for breach of discipline.
The board chief has decided not to reduce the central contract amount for now. The duration of the new central contract will be one year, the performance and fitness of the players for the central contract will be reviewed every year.
Inclusion of players in different categories of central contract will be done under the prescribed procedure. Technical procedures for the issuance of NOCs for playing leagues will be fixed. NOCs will be issued to players who fulfill the procedure.
Players who meet the fitness and performance criteria will get a chance to come forward. There will be no place for players who do not meet the standard. There will be no compromise on discipline.
Mohsin Naqvi said that Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie are fully empowered. I have full confidence in them, I have given both of them a free hand. Hope both will give excellent results.
Upgradation of high-performance centers and a plan to increase the quality of coach training has been called for. High-performance centers will also be built in Islamabad and Peshawar.
Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie will present the final report in this regard. A complete program should be made to have separate coaches for the Shaheens and U-19 teams and conduct tournaments with continuity. Muhammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq will review the domestic contract. Usman Wahla and Nadeem Khan have been given the responsibility.
