Pakistan’s national test team deputy captain, Saud Shakeel, along with Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan, have climbed up the International Cricket Council (ICC) player rankings. Saud Shakeel, who scored a century in the Rawalpindi Test, has made his debut in the top 10 batters.
The ICC has released the latest test player rankings. According to the rankings, Pakistan’s batter Saud Shakeel has made a significant leap in the batting rankings, entering the top ten. In the new ICC test player rankings, Saud Shakeel has climbed 20 places to the 7th position, while Babar Azam has also improved one place, moving from 19th to 18th. Saud Shakeel recently scored 280 runs in five innings of the three-match Test series against England, including a century and a half-century, and was named the player of the series.
In the test batters, England’s Joe Root retains the top position, while New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is second. India’s young Yashasvi Jaiswal has moved up one place to third, while Virat Kohli has slipped six places to 14th. New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra has also joined the top ten, moving up eight places to 10th.
In the test bowlers’ rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah has lost the top position. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada has become the number one bowler, climbing three places. Jasprit Bumrah has slipped to third, and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood has moved up one place to second. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin has slipped two places to fourth, while Pakistan’s Nauman Ali has climbed eight places to enter the top ten at the 9th position in the test bowlers’ rankings. Sajid Khan, the hero of the Test series against England, has jumped 12 places to 38th.
In the test all-rounders, India’s Ravindra Jadeja retains the top position, followed by Ravichandran Ashwin in second and Mehidy Hasan Miraz in third. Nauman Ali has climbed five places to enter the top 20 for the first time.
